Many of our citizens have alarms on their homes and businesses. Because of the nature of alarms, police respond to these calls. Most times they are false alarms. When this happens, the person responsible for the alarm may get a warning or a citation. In the city of Lake Forest Park, a false alarm is a infraction. The fine for a false alarm is $50.00 for the first offense and $75.00 for the second and subsequent false alarms.
When the police respond to a false alarm, you may receive a warning. If you are given a copy of the warning, you need to fill in the information requested, but you are not charged with a fine. If you are issued a citation, you will need to send in the fine.
