Animal Acres Trail Revision

You may have noticed that the path in Animal Acres has been rerouted. During the December storm the velocity of the stream eroded the hillside and caused some sliding. The erosion in turn undermined the root systems of several trees. The trees had to be removed for safety reasons.

The trailside area has been replanted with low growing plants and the trail is rerouted to divert people from the edge of the slope.

The City is working with a consultant to explore options for stabilizing the slope and preventing further erosion.
