Our Senior Shuttle urgently needs caring and dedicated volunteer drivers to transport local seniors from their homes to destinations in the Shoreline and Lake Forest Park communities. Many seniors rely on this free service to help them stay active, healthy and independent. However, without more volunteer drivers, we will be forced to reduce service hours, leaving seniors with no way of getting to hot lunches at the Senior Center, grocery stores, medical appointments and other local errands.
The shuttle runs weekdays and volunteers choose to drive either one morning or one afternoon shift each week. Volunteer drivers must be over 25 years old, hold a valid driver’s license and have no at-fault accidents during the past three years. Volunteers do not need a special driver’s license. We provide free training in defensive driving, passenger assistance and CPR/First Aid.
