2008 Master Recycler Composter (MRC) training
This year's MRC volunteer training will be held in Federal Way on Thursday evenings from 6:15 - 9 pm, February 28 through April 17, 2008. In addition, three Saturday field trips will be a part of the training and will be held from 9 am to 3 pm on March 1, 22 and April 5.Residents in King County outside of Seattle are eligible for this program.
Participants receive 40 hours of free training on the subjects of waste prevention, recycling, home composting, and alternatives to household hazardous wastes. In return for the training, MRC volunteers agree to share their knowledge and skills through various community outreach efforts. MRCs use personal interaction and practical “how–to” information to educate citizens and motivate them to action.
