Tools for Resourceful Living
During the winter and spring, the Washington State University King County Extension will offer a practical, four-part educational program, Tools for Resourceful Living at Third Place Commons. The series is offered in partnership with the City and the Environmental Quality Commission, in cooperation with Third Place Commons.
- Composting 101: Turning Waste into a Resource

6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
- Are you interested in improving the quality of soil in your yard and garden? Have you been meaning to learn about composting, or improve the composting method you are currently using? Join WSU Extension to learn quick and easy ways to turn yard trimmings and kitchen scraps into rich soil amendments. This hands-on workshop will cover all you need to know to start building soil using yard and food waste.

All sessions will be held in the Third Place Commons stage area, except one – the April 12 session will be in the Third Place meeting room. This series is free to the public and registration is encouraged, but not required.
