Councilmember Roger Olstad will be retiring on December 31, 2007. He has served on the Lake Forest Park City Council since 2000. In 2007 he was elected by his peers to serve as mayor pro tempore. Councilmember Olstad served as the chair of the task force on the redevelopment of the Town Center, and its successor task forces and committees.
“Roger’s commitment to the highest quality redevelopment of Town Center has been an important contribution to the City of Lake Forest Park,” said Mayor Hutchinson. “He has been evenhanded in his approach to issues that have come before the City Council. I hope you will join me in thanking Roger for his many contributions to the City.”
Catherine Stanford has been elected to replace retiring Councilmember Roger Olstad. She will join Councilmembers Dwight Thompson, Ed Sterner and Mayor Dave Hutchinson who ran unopposed. They will be sworn–in during the first week in January.
