Lake Forest Park Continues to Evaluate Storm Related Damage

Flooding

Report 5

December 4, 2007 5:00 pm

Local roads have all been reopened.  Water has receded and for the most part is back within the stream banks.  There are still homes with standing water.

Public works crews, police personnel, the code enforcement officer and other staff are evaluating storm related damage citywide.

The City is responding to storm related public infrastructure, evaluating roads, bridges, drainage ditches and public park property for damage.

If you have storm related damage on your private property, the best first step is to contact your own homeowners insurance company.

Remember to use caution around storm water.  Keep children and pets our of the streams and standing water as there may have been leakage from septic tanks, drainage fields and sewer lines.   If you come in contact with water, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
