The Secret Gardens of Lake Forest Park Garden Tour

The Secret Gardens of Lake Forest Park is one of the great Seattle-area garden tours. On Saturday, June 16, 2007 the Fifth Annual Secret Gardens of Lake Forest Park garden tour will be opened.  The tour features small intense gardens, a lakeside garden, and large landscaped home sites; each enchanting garden will foster your imagination and delight your senses.

The Secret Gardens of Lake Forest Park will feature talented local artists and musicians creating art and performing in the gardens.  Having artists in the gardens and musicians performing makes our garden tour something out of the ordinary.

Between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Ciscoe Morris of 710 KIRO Radio will be broadcasting live from the Lake Forest Park Towne Centre.  There will be an overflowing Garden Fair with a variety of exotic and rare plants as well as native plants, drought tolerant plants, ferns, flowers, and small shrubs, garden art, crafts and educational booths. Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer your gardening questions. The Garden Fair is free and the public is invited.

Advanced ticket sales for The Secret Gardens of Lake Forest Park Garden Tour are $12.   Advance tickets go on sale in May at Wild Birds Unlimited, Two Trading Tigers and the Farmers Market in Lake Forest Park, Molbak’s Nursery in Woodinville, Sky Nursery in Shoreline and the University Village Ravenna Gardens.  Advance tickets will be exchanged for a ticket and map on the day of the tour at the Garden Fair.  Tickets are $15 day of the tour.

End your garden tour with a cup of tea at Third Place Commons and presentation by Christina Pfeiffer author of Month-by-Month Gardening in Washington and Oregon.  The book offers valuable advice on the proper timing of gardening maintaining activities for each month.

The Lake Forest Park Towne Centre is located at the intersection of

Ballinger Way and Bothell Way (SR 104 and SR 522.)
