Welcome to the Mayor's Office

Our Community Honors Good Neighbors

As your Mayor, it is my job to manage the City resources. This year my job is harder than any year since I began. However, our budget troubles are not the entire picture. Lake Forest Park is a unique and special place.

Everywhere you look you see neighbors helping neighbors. At the recent "Good Neighbor Awards" ceremony we honored seven outstanding citizens whose actions are exemplary. They unselfishly contributed to the welfare of the community and their neighbors. The Pink Polka Dots, a group of young people you may have seen at the Farmers Market, (moved by the death of their friend) are raising money for Children‘s Hospital; the merchants in the Towne Centre collected food for the local food banks; and the Farmers Market raised money for distributing food coupons through Hope Link to our hungry neighbors. Other good neighbors throughout the community are helping their neighbors: they are transporting people to the hospital, getting children to read, using their time and talents to reflect the "giving" character of our Community.

Lake Forest Park is a unique and special place because we create and sustain our sense of community every day.
