March, 2008: Lake Forest Park 100 Year Legacy
From the Computer of Mayor Dave

The Lake Forest Park Legacy is an ambitious project. A citizen task force is working with a consultant team and the public to develop our green infrastructure.

This vision of a green infrastructure sometimes called “a vision linking our city through green spaces and places.” About 60 people attended the final segment of the planning process for the Lake Forest Park Legacy. Outlined on large boards for public review was the 100 year vision and the 20 year and 6 year action items. Citizens wandered among the boards and received an explanation from members of the task force. I want to express my thanks to the members of the task force for their hard work on this project.

Next, the task force will edit the final report and deliver the package to the City Council for review. There will be a public hearing in March or April and then the Council will take it under final consideration. The final product will be a policy framework and an action plan for implementation of our green infrastructure.
