We are a City with many, many extraordinary people. Craig Sternagel, a Lake Forest Park Rotary member, and two others are biking across the country to raise awareness about the Sudan (www.bike4sudan.com.

Hundreds of you volunteer in the schools making them better places to learn, scouting helps young people with citizenship, in community groups and in neighborhoods. The City is rich in volunteers. This year you have volunteered over 4,000 hours of community service to our City.

Volunteers are on commissions, committees and task forces. You pulled weeds and planted trees in our parks. You have removed ivy and other invasives.

We are honoring our City volunteers this summer on July 29 at the Farmers Market. Come and join us for lunch, listen to some great music and share the good company with your colleagues and friends who volunteer too.
