| April, 2006: Thank You, Dennis Barnes From the Computer of Mayor Dave |

| The City of Lake Forest Park has seven commissions and over 130 volunteer commissioners, block watch and special task force members. These volunteers help the City do more activities with greater depth than we would be able to achieve with staff alone. Thanks to all of you who give the City so much. You make this place a great place to live and work. In 1997 when the City thought it should have a website, Dennis Barnes and others volunteered to help shape it. Dennis provided us with the impetus to get started by researching the nuts and bolts of setting up such a site. He provided on-going technical assistance to the City, and made sure information was posted to the web. He brought technological prowess to our fledgling web site and helped us grow. Dennis insisted that the website be a vehicle for citizens to be able to research and locate information about their government. This year Dennis Barnes is retiring as a volunteer on the Citys web team. He will be missed. He has provided the City with an extraordinary electronic legacy. Thank you Dennis. |
