		March, 2006: Town Center Update From the Computer of Mayor Dave
	As many of you may already know, a developer has entered into a contract with the mall ownership to purchase the shopping center. The developer has 60 days to investigate the property before the sale is final. The developer does not have specific plans for the shopping center. The City has leverage to implement the community’s vision for Town Center because of our work on Sustaining a Livable Lake Forest Park and design guidelines. Any redevelopment must take into account City land use regulations and the long term leases of tenants. Our work on the Town Center over the past two years has provided us with an important platform for working with any new owner.
