City code requires all businesses operating in the City to have a business license. This includes contractors who may do repairs on your home such as furnace, heating & ventilation contractors or landscapers who work on your property.

Yes, you need a license. You may or may not need to pay business and occupation taxes depending on where your materials are delivered.
I am just doing one project in Lake Forest Park; my business is located in another city. What taxes do I pay?
A business license is required and business and occupation taxes only for the project in Lake Forest Park.
The quarterly gross sales from my business were less than $3,000.00. Do I still have to file a Business & Occupation tax form with the City?
Yes. Even if there is no income, the form must be filled out, signed, dated, and returned for all businesses currently licensed in the City.
