Mission of the PSC

The mission of the Public Safety Commission is to advance the safety of the citizens of Lake Forest Park. The Commission will provide suggestions and develop programs that are intended to enhance the city’s criminal justice system and its police and emergency services. In addition the commission may be asked by the Mayor, the Chief of Police and the City Council to review current or proposed ordinances and laws, policies and procedures that relate to public safety. In providing such services the commission may use tools, such as citizen surveys and questions collected from the community. The commission then will interpret such findings and present them to the Mayor and the City Council in cooperation with the police department.
