SMP: Draft Plans

The Shoreline Master Program is a hybrid policy document incorporating broad policies and detailed regulatory provisions that limit uses in specific ways. The policies and regulations of the Shoreline Master Program apply within 200 feet of the shoreline of Lake Washington. The goal of the Shoreline Master Program is to ensure no net loss of ecological functions in the shoreline areas.

Please note: the ‘track changes’ text that is highlighted in blue and red in this draft SMP represents changes that were requested by the City Council at the June 10, 2010 council meeting.

Stephen Bennett, Planning Director, administers the City‘s planning, land use, and environmental policies and regulations. He can be reached at the City phone number: 206-368-5440
