About the HSC

The Human Services Commission provides leadership and direction for the City in defining and responding to the human service needs of the community. The Commission reviews and recommends policies to the Mayor, provides oversight for programs, and is a forum for input on human service programs.

Good Neighbor Award

Third Annual Good Neighbor Award Sponsored by the Human Services Commission

The deadline for nominations for the third annual Lake Forest Park Good Neighbor Awards will be February 28, 2008.  The award ceremony will take place in Spring 2008. Nominees must have made a memorable contribution to the Lake Forest Park community. It is not necessary for nominees to be city residents.

Nominees must meet the following criteria.

  • They make a positive contribution to their Lake Forest Park neighborhood.
  • They have demonstrated efforts beyond the scope of citizen responsibilities.
  • They may not be employed by the City of Lake Forest Park or be a current elected City official.

Commissions are mayoral appointments. Members of the Human Services Commission serve for three years.
