The Finance Department is an internal service department providing financial services, financial reporting, and financial management for the City. The staff is comprised of a Finance Director, a part-time, contract Interim Accounting Manager, an Accountant, and two part-time Accounting Clerks, one who processes the payroll and one who handles sewer billing and receipting.
The Department performs the following ongoing functions:
- Budget preparation and administration
- Annual financial report preparation and audit coordination
- Detailed reporting to Council, administration, and staff
- Investment and debt management
- Accounts payable
- Receipt posting
- Utility billing
- Payroll
