About the Community Services CommissionThree City Commissions were combined to make the Community Services Commission: the Human Services Commission, the Parks and Recreation Commission and the Public Safety Commission. Current CommissionersCo-Chairs: Betsy Piano and Judy Altman Environmental/Legacy Grant ProgramLake Forest Park’s environmental mini-grant program has been expanded to include projects that further the City’s 100-Year Legacy Vision. The program will reimburse property owners and community organizations 50% of expenses for Legacy and environmental improvement projects, up to $500 for individual property owners, and $1,500 for group projects. The program is jointly sponsored by the Environmental Quality Commission and the Community Service Commission. Information and application forms are available at City Hall and by clicking below. Parks and RecreationScholarship Reimbursements for Income Eligible Youth and Specialized Recreation ParticipantsThe City of Lake Forest Park will reimburse eligible residents who are registered and attend cultural, recreation, and aquatic programs &
camps through the Shoreline Parks Department. The City will reimburse each qualified resident up to $50.00 per quarter for fall,

King County housing repair programKing County Housing Repair Program provides assistance to low income homeowners with necessary health and safety, building preservation
and energy related repairs. There are 0% interest loans and grants to help Lake Forest Park residents keep their homes safe and in
good repair. The purpose of the program is to benefit low to moderate-income homeowners, and to help preserve existing housing, and
keep our neighborhoods livable.

The deadline for nominations for the annual Lake Forest Park Good Neighbor Awards is March 25, 2010. The award ceremony takes place at a reception at City Hall on May 13, 2010. Nominees must have made a memorable contribution to the Lake Forest Park community. It is not necessary for nominees to be city residents. Nominations are welcome any time. Nominees must meet the following criteria.
