CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Hutchinson called the City Council study session meeting to order at 6:08 p.m.
ADOPTION OF AGENDA
There being no objection, the study session agenda was adopted as presented.
AGENDA ITEMS/DISCUSSION
Review of Comprehensive Plan Elements
Following brief introductory comments from Mayor Hutchinson and City Administrator Karen Haines, Planning Director Steve Bennett noted that the review of the comprehensive plan elements scheduled for discussion would begin with a review of the second goal of the environmental quality and shorelines element.
Discussion followed of goals 3 through 12 regarding wetlands, streams, flood hazard areas, Lake Washington shoreline, steep slope, landslide and seismic hazard areas, fish and wildlife habitat, water quality, groundwater and aquifer recharge, air quality and environmental public involvement. Councilmember discussed concepts incorporated in the policies and recommended clarifying amendments and additions.
Bennett noted that the review of the comprehensive plan would begin at the capital facilities element at the November 4, 2004 council meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further comments, the Council study session meeting was adjourned at 7:18 p.m.
