AGENDA ITEM/DISCUSSION

Comcast/Preliminary Discussion for Franchise Renewal

Government and Community Relations Manager Sarah Phillips and cable consultant Lon Hurd distributed to council a draft cable television survey that will go out to city of Lake Forest Park residents. Phillips noted that this survey would assist the city in measuring satisfaction of cable customers and to get feedback to what citizens would like to see done better. She noted that this survey would be included as an insert in one of the upcoming issues of the Town Crier.

Discussion focused on what language council would like to see included in the survey, i.e., what citizens want, how much they are willing to pay for additional services, if any, response time from Comcast when citizens call in with specific questions or problems, which channels are most popular, customer satisfaction, etc. Hurd noted these requests would be included in the survey.

Sewering Unsewered Areas—Area E

City Engineer Neil Jensen presented information illustrating capital cost recovery and project costs for sewering Area E of the unsewered areas.

Proposed Amendments to Countywide Planning Policies

Due to time constraints, Armanini moved that item 4, Proposed Amendments to Countywide Planning Policies, be discussed at the regular meeting tonight under new business. Kiest seconded. The motion carried unanimously.

Adjournment

There being no objection, the special study session meeting was adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
